Max wins Design and Innovation Award

Another crown for our baby! We sent an E-Max to the jury of the Design & Innovation Awards, and they gave him the praise he deserved. Max impressed with its comfort, ride solidity, frame engineering, as well as its unique battery integration.

Here's the verdict:

With the Max, folding bike specialists Ahooga introduced a robust electric folding bike for commuting that prioritizes stability and a precise riding experience. The Belgian manufacturer opted for a unique frame design with two triangles – a rare sight amongst folding bikes – combined with double-secured folding mechanisms. With 20″ balloon tires, a comfortable saddle, ergonomic grips, and an elastomer in the rear folding mechanism, the Max provides a high level of comfort. While the mechanism may seem a bit complex at first, it becomes surprisingly intuitive with practice, significantly contributing to the bike’s stability. When folded, the Max can be easily rolled on wheels mounted to the rear rack – a perfect feature for navigating stations and busy train carriages. Integrated mudguards and lights make it the ideal commuting partner. A headlight shaped like the Ahooga logo on the head tube ensures good visibility in traffic while at the same time providing a stylish, elegant touch. Thoughtful down to the MAX – a well-deserved award!
